Grab a Wool Sage Poncho in one of our TWELVE colors! Wool has been one of the greatest clothing materials since ancient times. Wool retains heat even when soaked. It's naturally mildew and bacteria resistant. And it's also fire resistant!
Our cloaks are 90% wool with the remainder a flame resistant synthetic. They are about waist length in the front and go down past your knees in the back. This cut makes an awesome cape when it's back, and when you pull it forward you can still use your hands while you stay warm. With the cloak being shorter in the front, it makes it easy to hike with and bend over without dragging yourself through the mud. The hoods are nice and big too!
All the cloaks are also treated with a non-toxic moth/mite repellent. This has a somewhat strong smell, but it fades quickly.
Dry cleaning is the best way to clean your cloak and prevent the most shedding! If you prefer to wash at home, below are the best practices. Be aware that your cloak will shed for the first 2-3 washes.
Cleaning Instructions:
Use wool detergents to wash.
Hand washing is preferable. You can wash in front load machines set to cold delicate cycle by itself.
DO NOT use a top load machine. They can cause damage to your wool cloak.
DO NOT use a drying machine. This is very hard on wool and will cause a great deal of shedding.
Line dry only.
